I don't know what it is, but everything about NaNo feels magical to me right now. As you will notice if you happen to scroll down, I haven't been blogging much . . . at all . . . lately. That's about how much I've been writing, too.
But NaNo just has a way of taking me by the horns and letting me know in no uncertain terms that mediocrity isn't going to cut it right now.
So, I've started fleshing out a story idea, and I have a vague notion of a few characters and a (VERY) basic roughed-out plot. And on Thursday, I'm leaving for a little retreat with several writing friends. I'll be gone for about 2 1/2 days, and hopefully I'll be able to get lots of writing done.
